The Biathlon Comp Development program at Soldier Hollow is a year-round training program that focuses on all aspects of biathlon. All athletes are required to be enrolled with an area Nordic program to join. Biathletes will train 2 days per week with a focus on safety, developing strong shooting fundamentals, introductory visualization and learning about biathlon competition. Workouts will include both slow-fire drills and ‘Combo’ workouts that combined shooting drills with strength, agility, and skiing/roller skiing workouts. During the winter season, Comp Team biathletes will compete in all IMD Nordic Junior National Qualifiers with their respective home club and will also have an opportunity to compete in local and regional biathlon races. There will be opportunity for training camps during the season.
