The Biathlon Comp Development program at Soldier Hollow is a year-round training program for athletes ages 14-20 that focuses on all aspects of biathlon. Athletes are required to be enrolled with an area Nordic program to join. Comp biathletes will train two days per week with a focus on safety, developing strong shooting fundamentals, visualization, and learning about biathlon competition. Workouts will include both slow-fire drills and ‘Combo’ workouts that combine shooting drills with core strength, specific strength, and/or rollerski technique. During the winter season, Comp Team athletes will compete in all IMD Nordic Junior National Qualifiers with their respective home clubs and will also have an opportunity to compete in local, regional, and national level biathlon events. There will be options for 2-3 training camps during the dryland season.
