John Turner
Olympic Adventure Camp Coach
At 6512’ above sea level, with the La Plata and San Juan Mountains in southwestern Colorado as my playground, there was little doubt that I would have outdoor winter and summer recreation in my future. Born in Durango, Colorado, I was the second child to a family with an extensive skiing history. My mother growing up in Boyne Mountain Michigan being brought up as a ski racer and father raised in the same mountains as myself, my skiing career began skiing at a very young age. I have traveled all over the country riding in nearly every state. I cannot count the times I’ve been to Whistler, Canada or the number of jumps I’ve had into the pool at the Utah Olympic Park. I look forward to bringing my enthusiasm for winter sports to this amazing new camp!
