The Development team signifies a commitment to year round Nordic combined training. This program focus is a transition from learning to train to training to train with goals of measurable improvement in overall sport skills, strength, agility, flexibility, endurance, speed and coordination as well as sport specific skills. Athletes will participate in XC specific dry land training such as rollerskiing and running. The athlete’s biological maturation dictates the level of specialization and the training intensity/load. This program will participate in divisional competitions and have an opportunity to travel nationally for junior age competitions.

Coaches

  • May 1 to October 28
    Ski Jumping: 3 days a week, coach will send schedule to athlete/parents
    Dry Land: 2 days a week, coach will send schedule to athlete/parents

  • Includes Ski Jumping, dry land training, and a discount on other offsite training activities such as: skills course, skating, soccer, gymnastics, hiking, etc. This fee also includes Springer Tournee entry fee.
    Camps and competitions other than the Springer Tournee are additional to program fees.

  • Equipment and clothing for rollerskiing, running, hiking, mountain biking, and water bottle carrier. Ski Jumping equipment required and included in program fee until age 14 years old. MUST have own ski jumping equipment.

  • Programs

    • No refunds given once a program has begun. Refunds may be considered in the event of an injury or mitigating circumstances and will be determined at the discretion of the Head Coach or Program Manager.

    Camps

    • For all cancellations there will be a $25.00 processing fee applied.
    • 14+ days before start of camp = 100% refund (minus processing fee)
    • 13-7 days before start of camp = 75% refund
    • 6 days or sooner before start of camp = 50% refund

    Injury

    • Parents must communicate via email to Program Manager or Head Coach must be notified within a week of injury
    • In the case that a request for a refund is approved, it will be calculated from the date of the request, not the date the athlete stopped attending training
    • Athlete/parent will have the option for a refund or to put the money in an athlete account for that athlete to use for future UOP programs
    • No refunds will be considered after April 1 for winter programming and October 31 for summer programming
