OLYMPIC BIATHLON EXPERIENCE

Winter or Summer, discover the thrill and challenge of Biathlon.

As an “aspiring Olympian,” participants are provided with clips of five shots each with plenty of opportunity to learn and improve your skills. Assistance provided by a professional staff, participants will utilize highly accurate rifles similar to the equipment used during the Olympic Games.

After an instructional range orientation and time for practice, participants engage in a “mini” fun competition custom designed for the group. Ski or snowshoe in the winter, run or bike in the summer, the biathlon course will raise heart rates and give participants a sense of authentic biathlon competition. Participants are challenged to try and hit all FIVE targets.

While shooting at the Olympic range, everyone will wear a bib that was actually worn during the 2002 Olympic games. The experience culminates with an Official Biathlon Awards Ceremony on the Olympic Podium where all participants receive a certificate suitable for framing. This is an one-of-a-kind Olympic experience!

Recommended by The New York Times

From The New York Times, Dec. 2007: Of the many sports that haven’t captivated Americans, few baffle like the biathlon, a combination of Nordic skiing (or biking in the summertime) and gunplay. One reason we haven’t embraced it is that there are few places to try it. At (Soldier Hollow in Midway, UT) amateurs can try it out. It was the venue for the 2002 Olympics cross country skiing and biathlon and is about a 25 minute drive south of Park City. No experience is necessary. Programs range from one hour introductions to… all-day gear rentals for groomed trails (for bicycles in the summertime)…”
