Support Utah Olypic Legacy Foundation

Promoting Healthier Active Lifestyles

In 2018, UOLF launched a Healthy Kearns initiative aimed at combatting some of the states most alarming health statistics (many of which are preventable). Together, with support of tremendous donors, we aim to provide a resource to overcome these challenging statistics. Since its inception in 2018, Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation’s Healthy Communities has helped children realize their ambitions in winter sport. This scholarship and healthy lifestyle program helps children build confidence in an atmosphere of belonging, while learning valuable life skills and staying physically active. Our program offers underserved youth the opportunity to participate when that might not exist otherwise, and many times with classmates and friends by their side. After a very successful first year in Kearns, UOLF expanded Healthy Communities to our other Olympic venues in Park City (Utah Olympic Oval) and Midway (Soldier Hollow Nordic Center). Thousands of kids participate annually in our sport programs, at not cost.

Covid-19 precautions in place for all attendees. Face coverings required except while skis are moving, 6′ social distancing at all times.

Soldier Hollow welcomes all to our 2nd Grand Tour! The Grand Tour is an untimed group ski at Soldier Hollow, that will certainly get a little competitive for some. Participants start together and ski either one, two or three laps of the Soldier Hollow trail system, whichever they choose. The Grand Tour trail is a 16.7km route that largely follows the 2002 Olympic 50km trail. Three laps totals 50km, and with 4,995 feet of vertical gain, this is the third toughest 50km ski in the world, trailing only the World Championship courses in Holmenkollen and Trondheim, Norway.
