The Colin Hilton Legacy and Community Care Initiative

ABOUT THE COLIN HILTON LEGACY AND COMMUNITY CARE INITIATIVE

The Colin Hilton Legacy and Community Care Initiative honors Colin’s life, leadership, and lasting impact by supporting work that reflects the values he championed. Additional fundraising will help grow the resources available through the initiative, allowing for broader and longer-term support of the people, programs, and places that reflect Colin’s vision and values. Resources from the fund may support initiatives focused on youth, sport, mental wellbeing, reducing barriers to participation and opportunity, and the creation of a place for reflection, connection, and remembrance. The initiative is intended to carry forward Colin’s commitment to community and to create a lasting expression of the extraordinary impact he had on people in Utah and beyond.

THE INITIATIVE WILL FOCUS ON FOUR AREAS THAT WERE ESPECIALLY MEANINGFUL TO COLIN

Mental Health & Wellbeing — Access to mental health resources and services for athletes, coaches, staff, and others within the Olympic and Paralympic community.

Youth Sport Scholarships — Creating opportunities for young people to participate in sport, develop confidence and resilience, discover their potential, and experience the values of teamwork, perseverance, and belonging that Colin championed throughout his career.

A Permanent Memorial at Utah Olympic Park — Creating a lasting place at Utah Olympic Park where patrons, athletes, colleagues, friends, and future generations can pause, reflect, and pay tribute to Colin.

Colin’s Celebration of Life — Supporting the gathering of family, friends, colleagues, athletes and community members to celebrate Colin’s extraordinary life and legacy.

“Colin’s legacy is unlike any other—not only in Utah, but across the Olympic and Paralympic Movement. We are heartbroken by the loss of our friend, colleague, mentor and leader. We are honored to carry forward Colin’s vision in a way that reflects who he was and what mattered most to him. His impact will live on through our continued investment in athletes, youth, our communities, mental wellness, and the places he championed. In doing so, we hope to carry a little more of Colin forward for generations to come.”
