Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation Announces the Colin Hilton Legacy and Community Care Initiative

Park City, Utah (September 23, 2026) – Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous gift, the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation is pleased to announce The Colin Hilton Legacy and Community Care Initiative. The initiative honors Colin’s life, leadership, and lasting impact by supporting work that reflects the values he championed.

This initiative is designed to carry forward the causes, values and programs that were important to Colin through the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation. Additional fundraising will champion and expand the resources available through the initiative, allowing UOLF to provide broader and longer-term support that reflects Colin’s vision for how Olympic legacy can inspire athletes, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for future generations.

The initiative will initially focus on four areas that were especially meaningful to Colin:

Mental Health & Wellbeing — Access to mental health resources and services for athletes, coaches, staff, and others within the Olympic and Paralympic community.

Youth Sport Scholarships — Creating opportunities for young people to participate in sport, develop confidence and resilience, discover their potential, and experience the values of teamwork, perseverance, and belonging that Colin championed throughout his career.

A Permanent Memorial at Utah Olympic Park — Creating a lasting place at Utah Olympic Park where patrons, athletes, colleagues, friends, and future generations can pause, reflect, and pay tribute to Colin.

Colin’s Celebration of Life — Supporting the gathering of family, friends, colleagues, athletes and community members to celebrate Colin’s extraordinary life and legacy.

“Colin’s legacy is unlike any other—not only in Utah, but across the Olympic and Paralympic Movement,” said Lisa Bennion Rasmussen, Chief Revenue Officer of the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation. “We are heartbroken by the loss of our friend, colleague, mentor and leader. We are honored to carry forward Colin’s vision in a way that reflects who he was and what mattered most to him. His impact will live on through our continued investment in athletes, youth, our communities, mental wellness, and the places he championed. In doing so, we hope to carry a little more of Colin forward for generations to come.”

The Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation extends its deepest gratitude to the anonymous donor whose extraordinary gift established this initiative and made this next chapter possible. Respecting the donor’s wishes, their identity will remain private.

In true Colin fashion, the community is invited to help make an impact. Contributions of any size will help extend the reach of the initiative. You may do so here.

Through The Colin Hilton Legacy and Community Care Initiative, Colin’s impact will continue to inspire athletes, young people, communities and generations to come.
