Rules and safety

Please sign our online waiver prior to your arrival. 

Required equipment: Skate roller skis, boots, poles (w/ biathlon straps), running shoes, helmet, biathlon arm cuff, water bottle and carrier. Rifles & ammunition will be available for use during training sessions.

All Comp athletes are required to have their own classic and skate roller skiing gear by the start of their second year on the Comp Team. Scholarship gear use is available. Please contact program manager.

***For athletes interested in pursuing biathlon long-term, purchasing a personal firearm is strongly recommended. A limited number of Scholarship Rifles are available. To be eligible an athlete must first complete at least one year in a biathlon program at Soldier Hollow. Scholarship rifles are not guaranteed and priority is given to Comp Team athletes first and based on applications received.

Required Licenses/Memberships/Paperwork – There will be an online information session on April 14th from 6-7pm. Athletes and at least one parent are encouraged to attend the webinar and a copy of the webinar will also be made available on Before practicing with Team SoHo or participating in any organized activities at Soldier Hollow, all participants must have a signed and current SoHo Venue Waiver (renews each year on May 1st), Team SoHo Code of Conduct, and acknowledgement of receipt of the Parent/Athlete Handbook. Additionally, all Biathlon athletes are required to have a current US Biathlon Competitor License BEFORE shooting.
