Rules and safety

Please sign our online waiver prior to your arrival. 

Required equipment: Boots, poles w/ biathlon straps, running shoes, helmet, biathlon arm cuff, water bottle and carrier.

*Rollerskis are recommended, but not required

**Rifles & ammunition will be available for use during training sessions.

***For athletes interested in pursuing biathlon long-term, purchasing a personal firearm is strongly recommended. A limited number of Scholarship Rifles are available. To be eligible an athlete must first complete at least one year in a biathlon program at Soldier Hollow. Scholarship rifles are not guaranteed and priority is given to Comp Team athletes first and based on applications received.

Required Licenses/Memberships/Paperwork – There will be an online information session on April 14th from 6-7pm. Athletes and at least one parent are encouraged to attend the webinar and a copy of the webinar will also be made available on TeamSoHo.org. Before practicing with Team SoHo or participating in any organized activities at Soldier Hollow, all participants must have a signed and current SoHo Venue Waiver (renews each year on May 1st), Team SoHo Code of Conduct, and acknowledgement of receipt of the Parent/Athlete Handbook. Additionally, all Biathlon athletes are required to have a current US Biathlon Competitor License BEFORE shooting.
