Team Soldier Hollow Comp Team
The Team Soldier Hollow Competition (Comp) Team is for experienced skiers and racers ages 14 to 18. This is a year-round training program that focuses on building strength and endurance while also developing skate and classic ski technique. The Comp Team travels together to local and regional camps and races, including a summer Distance camp (this year in Idaho’s Sawtooth Mountains), a fall camp in West Yellowstone and all Junior National Qualifiers. Comp Team skiers also have the opportunity to pursue biathlon by being involved with the Team SoHo Biathlon add-on program. Skiers will train five to six days per week and workouts include a mixture of running, classic and skate roller skiing, strength training, biathlon, biking, agility, speed and technique. The spring and summer training is essential to building fitness, strength and endurance. During the fall, the focus shifts to building max vo2 and power. During the winter season, the Comp Team members compete in local and regional races with the possibility of national and international racing. Primary races for the team are the three sets of IMD Junior National Qualifiers. The team will also have two to three dry land or on-snow training camps.
