Join the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation Family of Volunteers

The Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation oversees three Olympic venues in Utah – Utah Olympic Park, Utah Olympic Oval, and Soldier Hollow Nordic Center. Our mission is to cultivate champions in sport and in life, deliver experiences that inspire communities and celebrate our Olympic legacy for generations to come. The foundation hosts numerous world cups and sport events every year.  Without our amazing team of volunteers, we would not be able to effectively host world-class events.

Ways to Volunteer

The Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation covers a wide range of missions across our three venues, all with one overarching goal in mind: to ensure an exceptional experience for everyone involved in our events. Whether it’s organizing logistics, providing support to athletes and spectators, or creating engaging and memorable experiences, our volunteers are all united by the same commitment to excellence. By working together towards this goal, we can create a truly unforgettable experience for all.

oval-logo-fullLocated in Kearns, just 16 miles west of Salt Lake City, the Utah Olympic Oval is a five-acre multi-use facility that was built for the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games. The venue houses Utah’s only 400-meter speed skating oval and two international-sized ice sheets, as well as a state-of-the-art four-lane 442-meter running track. In addition to hosting world-class speed skating events, the Utah Olympic Oval also hosts ice hockey, curling, and figure skating competitions. Looking for an exciting way to get involved in ice sports? The Utah Olympic Oval needs enthusiastic volunteers for a variety of roles, from helping with doping control and access control to providing hospitality and assisting with the race office. Plus, if you’re looking to get up close and personal with the action, we’re also seeking technical volunteers for positions on the ice, such as blockchasers and timing!

Built for the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games, Utah Olympic Park is located in Park City, just 25 miles east of Salt Lake City, Utah. The nearly 400 acre venue houses one of only four sliding tracks in North America, six Nordic ski jumps, a 2002 Winter Games museum, and a multitude of adventure activities. Utah Olympic Park plays a vital role in developing and promoting winter sports in Utah – and that’s where our volunteers come in! Volunteers at Utah Olympic Park play a critical role in ensuring the success of world-class events like Luge and Bobsled. By joining our team, you’ll have the opportunity to support and assist athletes as they compete at the highest levels, all while helping to promote and grow winter sports in our state.

soho-logo-fullNestled above the picturesque town of Midway and resting in the shadow of the Wasatch Mountains lies Soldier Hollow Nordic Center at Wasatch Mountain State Park. Although it is primarily known as an Olympic venue, Soldier Hollow hosts a variety of activities throughout the fall, spring and summer. The Competition Center serves as the nerve center for major events, ranging from Cross country Skiing Championships, Sheep Dog Championships, and Bike Races in the summer! This winter season we are excited to host the IBU World Cup. Joining Team SOHO as a volunteer at Soldier Hollow means taking on a variety of exciting roles, from setting up courses to helping athletes in the race office, timing events, and assisting with scoring on the Range – and that’s just the beginning!
