UOP Explorers

The UOP Explorers is geared toward skiers with a strong intermediate to advanced skiing ability that are not ready to commit to a full competitive ski program. The curriculum will be based USSA Skills Quest Drills with an exposure to a variety of skiing disciplines in a fun dynamic environment. The goal of the UOP Explorers is to help children develop all-around skiing skills with a variety of terrain and facilities at the UOP. Participants are taught the basic skills in Ski Jumping, Freeride Skiing (terrain park and jumps), Freestyle Mogul Skiing and a focus on Alpine Ski Racing, including running gates.

Ability Level

Blue level, skiers MUST have basic ski skills including ability to carry their own equipment, put on and off their own skis, ski parallel, turn, and stop. The Explorers ski program in not a learn to ski program rather is designed to enhance and expose young skiers to new ski sports and terrain.  Skiers will be evaluated on the first day of programming to determine skill level.
