Utah Olympic Park Summer Activities Preview

Extreme Zipline

Experience what it’s like to be an Olympian flying off the K120 nordic ski jumps on our Extreme Zipline. The Extreme Zipline is like our K120 jump – big, steep and long.

Your ride starts at the edge the K120 jump, at which point the force of gravity takes over and propels you to 50 mph – fairly close to the speeds of world-class ski jumpers.

Freestyle Zipline

The Freestyle Zipline is a great way to warm up before stepping up to the big one. The Freestyle Zipline is bit shorter and less steep, and totally fun. Perfect for younger kids or adults who want a more leisurely ride.

Extreme Tubing

Take a ride down the landing hill of a Nordic Ski Jump … in an inner tube! Gain speeds up to 50 mph and enjoy the thrill of soaring just like an Olympic Nordic ski jumper. (These are the same ski jumps that the today’s Olympic-level athletes train on!)

Extreme Tubing will take place on the Nordic Ski Jumps featuring the Larger Hills (K64 and K90) and Small Hill (K40). The landing hill where your ride starts is constructed from a start-of-the-art plastic surface that slides just like snow when wet. Participants will be required to do the K64 before progressing to the K90.

Alpine Slide

The Alpine Slide is exactly what you’d expect from a place that built one of the most exciting Olympic sliding tracks in the world. The slide is smooth, comfortable, and has amazing views. As for ride performance, the straightaways, drops, and 18 banked turns were designed to complement the scenic mountainside location. For added comfort, the easily controllable sleds allow riders—big and small—to go as fast (or slow) as they want.

*Passenger: Must be at least age 3 and under 48″ tall. Must be accompanied by a driver age 13 or older.

Drop Tower

This advanced-level adventure is designed to test even the greatest thrill-seekers with a 377-foot long zip line high above the treetops. The zip line ride finishes at the 65-foot high Drop Tower. From the Drop Tower, the only way down is to step off the platform for an exhilarating 65-foot free-fall.

Discovery Adventure Course

This entry-level course is designed to challenge the Park’s youngest adventurers. Adults are welcome up to the specified weight limits. Please be prepared to duck around obstacles, crawl through tight spaces and climb on elements sized for smaller individuals.

Canyon Adventure Course

This intermediate-level course is designed to test one’s abilities with log traverses, swinging elements, and problem-solving features. Participants should be prepared to be at heights up to 25 feet in the air where their agility, balance, and coordination will be tested.

Summit Adventure Course

This advanced-level course is designed to test even the strongest athletes with wire traverses, swinging elements and problem-solving features. Participants should be prepared to be up to 55 feet in the air and to have their strength, agility, balance and coordination tested.

Guided Tours

Guided Tours are the best way to explore the venue & learn about the amazing stories of Olympic achievement (and some of the more peculiar tales). The tour includes a ride aboard our shuttle bus and drive to the top of the world’s highest Nordic ski jumps and one of the fastest sliding tracks in the world. During the one hour tour, our guides will do what guides do best – inform, explain and entertain. Their knowledge and stories will bring the Games to life.

Flying Ace All-Stars Freestyle Show

Catch the high-flying action on select Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer at the Flying Ace All-Stars Freestyle Show. See Olympians and National Team skiers and snowboarders perform acrobatic feats as they soar up to 60 feet in the air before landing in the Spence Eccles Olympic Freestyle Pool. A great show for the whole family, this half-hour choreographed production will leave you breathless!

Scenic Chairlift Rides

Enjoy picturesque Olympic vistas from the Park’s two scenic chairlifts.

Reaching the highest points of Utah Olympic Park, the Nordic Chairlift gains approximately 440 vertical feet of elevation, accessing the Extreme Zip, Mountain Challenge, and Peak Plaza Trails.

Free to Park guests, the Freestyle Chairlift gains approximately 150 vertical feet of elevation, and accesses the Freestyle Zip and Welcome Center Trail (this chairlift ride is up only).

It is recommended that riders beat least age 3.

Public Climbing

Come experience the thrill of deep-water soloing at the Utah Olympic Park. Routes with varying degrees of difficulty are available.
